Often we are
distracted with the daily grind, spending more time on
trivial matters than with God. Author Yancy beckons
readers to the Bible to encounter God’s loving and
gracious personality and reminds us that doubt and
difficulty can be catalysts for intimacy with God. Join
us as we explore six different aspects of the Christian
life: Our longing for God, who God is, the Holy Spirit,
our faith, growth, and spiritual transformation.

attempt to answer a few basic questions:
Does God have a
specific will regarding the decisions that face us? How
are these decisions related to God's will for my life?
What is the role of the Holy Spirit and the scriptures
in decision making?
Does God care about
some of the decisions we make but not others?

LIFE OF ABRAHAM |
CHUCK LILLIS |
|
Three times in
Scripture Abraham is referred to as the "Friend of God".
In this class we will follow him through the stages of
his life with God. Observing how he responds to God's
voice and his own weaknesses, we will see a man with
whom God works to produce a life of faith. Come prepared

ROMANS |
SEAN LILLIS |
|
Second class to consider
in the basic adult classes—
In a very real sense, Romans is the gateway to
understanding and living the Christian life as God
intends it to be lived. It is a journey into God’s mind,
where His wise plan and purpose for His children are
displaying in all their glory.
Here we read of our great
need for:
-
the righteousness
of God (Ch. 1-32),
-
His gracious provision
of His righteousness (Ch. 4-5),
-
the sin-conquering
power of His righteousness (Ch. 6-8),
-
His sovereignty in
reckoning His righteousness (Ch. 9-11),
-
and our responsibility
to live in His righteousness (Ch. 12-16).
The Protestant
Reformation and the Wesleyan Revival were both the fruit
of the study of this wonderful letter and it continues
to bring reformation and revival to every heart that
seeks to understand and apply its contents today.
